Blender — пакет для создания трёхмерной компьютерной графики, включающий в себя средства моделирования, анимации, рендеринга, постобработки видео, а также создания интерактивных игр. Blender является простым, но удобным решением для тех, кто никогда не работал с трехмерной графикой. В программе есть все основные инструменты, которые используются в профессиональных 3D-редакторах, так что, работая в Blender, можно разобраться с основами 3D и уяснить для себя принцип работы подобных.
Особенностями пакета являются малый размер, высокая скорость рендеринга, наличие версий для множества операционных системы — FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OS X, SGI Irix 6.5, Sun Solaris 2.8 (sparc), Windows, SkyOS, MorphOS и Pocket PC. Пакет имеет такие функции, как динамика твёрдых тел, жидкости и мягких тел, систему горячих клавиш, большое количество легко доступных расширений, написаных на языке Python. Программа является свободным программным обеспечением и распространяется под лицензией GNU GPL.

Additions More flexible size options for particle billboards. This adds scale factors for width and height of billboards, relative to the particle size. It's useful when the particle size is primarily used for collision and the like, so the billboard appearance can be adjusted independently. Also allows non-square billboards. In addition the billboards can be scaled by the particle velocity with optional head and tail factors (similar to line drawing options).
